Bad, Average, Good, Excellent, or ELITE
Here's some motivation for anyone in need. Personally, I have a deep passion for sports, particularly football and basketball, and I'm starting to explore soccer. In a recent interview with the former Alabama football coach Nick Saban, he discussed the five choices we have in life, and it really resonated with me. These choices range from being bad, average, good, excellent, to elite. To achieve excellence or elite status, one must commit to doing extraordinary things—maintaining special focus, intensity, and dedication, along with a unique drive and passion. Regardless of the innate talents we possess, the key lies in the choices we make.
In my role as a Senior Nurse Travel Recruiter, it's tempting to settle into complacency and comfort, to be content with being average or good. However, that's not my goal. Growing up in an immigrant family, I was instilled with the value of striving for the best, aiming for excellence or elite status. To achieve that, it requires something extraordinary—a special commitment and unwavering focus. The most challenging part is finding the path to get there.
This year, let's all strive to be excellent or elite in whatever we pursue. Life is fleeting, and as we reflect towards the end of our journey, we'll ask ourselves whether we chose to be bad, average, or good, or if we aimed for excellence and elite accomplishments in the endeavors we invested our efforts into.
